Despite it being just Fe Salomon’s second ever official single, ‘Polka Dot’ demonstrates a compositional maturity you’d expect from a veteran artist. It’s a stylish track that is driven forward by the mysterious, shadowy vibe the artist gives off with every word she sings. Musically, this is alt-pop that takes from the intrigue of the Avant-Garde and makes it accessible. She describes the track as being “about mourning innocence, and the darkness that’s picked up along the way, with an ‘up yours’ sarcastic tone, and not wanting to grow old.” Her debut solo album, Living Rooms, is gearing up for release on June 17^th, 2022. -Dan Peeke
